Damien Domenack is an admission fellow and part of the admission team for the Vanderbilt School of Divinity. He recently graduated with a master’s degree in theology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. He helps people find their calling in ministry and helps them determine if studying theology is right for them.
In Tennessee, it’s common for sex education to exclude proper information on STD prevention and care. Often the little education most people receive is abstinence-only. While technically valid, it purposefully excludes any information about safe sex and what you should do to prevent spreading STDs and how you should seek treatment if you do get one.
In January of this year, Metro Nashville Police chief announced the appointment of a LGBT+ Liaison Officer to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD). The new position provides a bridge between LGBT+ people and MNPD.
